2011
With the conscious racing cyclist in focus, Berge took on designing Nishikis top segment road bikes.
A process with focus on function began. Stiffness, low weight and comfort are the characteristics a racing cyclist is looking for when choosing a new bike.
The framework has been developed to work with a new manufacturing technology, EPS molding, which places the frame’s different carbon layers with better precision and sensitivity.
This technique in combination with a material-efficient design keeps the weight low while the frame’s torsional stiffness is increased.
With the result, which Swedish bicycle magazine Kadens described as “a tremendous response to acceleration and hard cornering and is very alert and a direct, lovely feeling going up hill” Nishiki definetely increases the pace for the 2011/2012 season.
